My family had ten doctors of chiropractic. My father, uncles, brothers, nephews and nieces were practicing doctors of chiropractic. In 1971, I had degrees in theology and psychology from the University of Iowa when Uncle Sam called me up for the Vietnam War. I joined the Coast Guard and was stationed in Hawaii. I met my wife, the former Judy Imamoto. After we married, I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. There I was graduated summa cum laude.
I took over my father’s practice when he retired. He taught me an abundance of information about chiropractic care. I was in practice with my two brothers in the largest chiropractic clinic in the upper Midwest. I had the special opportunity of attending chiropractic seminars on a monthly basis for twelve years.
After a visit to Hawaii, I looked out the plane window and saw the islands move into the distance, and I asked myself, "Why am I leaving Hawaii?" I was flying with my wife, Judy and my two children, Kate and Coco, back to Mason City, Iowa.
My extensive continuing education, family knowledge and twelve years experience in a busy practice prepared me for starting a practice in Honolulu in 1986. I love to come to the office. In the passing years, I have cared for over 7,000 of your friends and neighbors. I have great satisfaction and fun helping people to better health without drugs and surgery. I have no intention of slowing down. I am ready when you are.
